What an AMAZING session this was with the beautiful Mia! This was no ordinary photo shoot; it was a big-deal session! This shoot was all about Mia’s 13th birthday, and she was having a special birthday party.
Her mom thought it would be nice to have photos of her to showcase at her birthday celebration! What a great idea, right? This shoot took place within a couple of days after Mia’s mom reached out to me. I was excited to capture this special milestone!
If you have been following me for a while, you probably recognize this beauty! I have photographed Mia several times before, and the first time was when she was just teeny-tiny at the tender age of 5.
She is a natural in front of the camera!
The Light Was So Dreamy
We met up at a local park, and I am so glad we did. It was so pretty with the bridge and the greenery, oh, and the light was so dreamy.
Beautiful, sweet, sassy, and a firecracker are the words that come to mind when I think about this young lady.
I loved the outfits that Mia brought to the shoot. For example, she wanted to include a pair of Louis Vuitton heels that her mother wore at her wedding rehearsal.
Mia Looked So Grown Up!
However, her ripped jeans and sneakers just show that she is just a typical young teen who enjoys a carefree life.
It was such a joy to watch her personality shine through in every pose and candid moment. Mia has this effortless ability to switch between elegant and playful, which made the entire session feel dynamic and full of life.
One moment she was giving us confident, almost editorial-style poses, and the next she was laughing and letting her fun, carefree side take over. Those in-between moments are always some of my favorites to capture.
As the light began to soften, we wrapped up the session with a few final shots near the bridge, and everything came together so beautifully.
The golden tones, the soft breeze, and Mia’s glowing smile created the perfect ending to such a meaningful shoot.
Sessions like this are such a reminder of how quickly time moves and how important it is to pause and document these milestone moments.
I am so grateful to have been part of celebrating this special chapter in Mia’s life, and I cannot wait to see all the memories created at her birthday celebration.
