West Chester University Graduation Session | Miranda’s Journey
There are milestones in life that deserve to be remembered, and this was one of them. This West Chester University Graduation Session was especially meaningful. Especially, because I had the honor of photographing my daughter, Miranda, as she celebrated earning her degree in Health & Science.
After years of dedication and hard work, she is beginning an exciting new chapter as a respiratory therapist. Having the opportunity to document this season while also celebrating alongside her made these images even more special.
I always find that there are some sessions that stay with you long after the camera is put away, and this was one of them.
Watching her walk across this campus, knowing all the hard work, long nights, sacrifices, and determination that brought her to this moment, filled my heart with so much pride.
A Career in Respiratory Therapy
Miranda graduated with a degree in Health & Science and will begin her career as a respiratory therapist at a hospital, stepping into a profession centered around compassion, care, and helping others breathe easier during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Her dad and I, along with her sister, brother, and nephew, are beyond proud of everything she has accomplished.
Watching her work toward this goal and seeing it become reality has been such a meaningful and joyful moment for our family.
A Friendship Built Through the Journey
College years are filled with growth, challenges, memories, and friendships that often become family.
But what made this session even more meaningful was that I also had the honor of photographing her best friend, Leah, who graduated alongside her and is beginning the same journey into respiratory therapy.
Seeing these two celebrate together after years of classes, studying, encouragement, and cheering each other on was something truly special to witness.
Their friendship carried them through an important season of life, and now they begin a new chapter side by side. There was so much joy, laughter, and excitement throughout the session.

One of my favorite parts of graduation sessions is preserving more than portraits; I love capturing the emotions behind the accomplishment.
From classic cap-and-gown images to candid moments together around campus, every image tells a story of perseverance and dreams becoming reality.

You worked hard for this moment, and you earned every bit of it. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see where this journey takes you.
