Let me begin by saying that I had the most fantastic time photographing this beautiful family! As a Bryn Mawr family photographer, I have had the joy of watching this family grow over the years, and this Fall Mini Session at Harriton House was especially sweet.

This adorable family had signed up for one of my Fall Mini Sessions, and what makes this family so special to me is that I have known them for several years.

I have been photographing them since the twins, Michael and Drew, were teeny tiny. It is such a wonderful feeling to see how much they have grown and to continue capturing these special moments for their family.

Fall Family Photos at Harriton House

I started their Harriton House family photography session by photographing the boys first. Michael, Drew and Nicky were so much fun to photograph!

After getting some photos of the boys, I had Mom and Dad jump in for a few family portraits.

Everything started out great, and then Nicky decided that he wanted me to hold him. But honestly, I loved every minute of it!

Sometimes the sweetest family photos come from those unexpected little moments. Lol

Not only was the weather perfect for this Fall family photography session, but the light was dreamy, too.

The crisp Fall air made the day feel even more beautiful, and Harriton House provided such a gorgeous backdrop for their family portraits.

A Little Lollipop Bribery

I am so glad I brought lollipops with me that day! They worked like a charm, and I managed to get some of the most adorable smiles from the kids.

Bribery is always a good thing in my book! As a Bryn Mawr family photographer, I have learned that sometimes you have to get creative during a family session.

A little patience, a little silliness, and yes, occasionally a lollipop can go a long way toward creating natural and happy expressions.

Once I had photographed the entire family and the boys together, I went on to capture these two lovebirds, Jackie and Mike.

Look how amazing they look! They are such a beautiful couple, and I loved taking a few portraits of just the two of them.

Harriton House Family Photography

The location itself was absolutely beautiful, but I will admit that this gorgeous family made it even more spectacular!

Harriton House is such a wonderful setting for family photography in Bryn Mawr, PA, with its historic character, beautiful grounds, and natural surroundings.

Add a fun, loving family and beautiful Fall light, and you have everything needed for a memorable family photography session.

I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to photograph this family throughout the years.

Watching children grow through the images I capture is one of the things I love most about being a family photographer.

Thank you, Jackie and Mike, for allowing me to continue documenting your beautiful family.

I hope these photographs bring back wonderful memories of this sweet Fall day for many years to come! Xo

Frequently Asked Questions

For Fall family photos, I recommend choosing coordinating colors and textures rather than having everyone wear matching outfits. Earthy neutrals, warm tones, sweaters, layers, and classic pieces photograph beautifully against the natural surroundings at Harriton House.

Family photography sessions can vary depending on the type of session you choose. Mini sessions are shorter and designed to capture a handful of beautiful family portraits, while full family sessions allow more time for different combinations, individual portraits, and candid moments.

Don’t worry! Kids don’t always cooperate perfectly for photographs, and that’s completely normal. I like to keep sessions relaxed and fun, allowing children time to warm up and be themselves. Sometimes the best photographs happen in the middle of those unexpected moments.
