The Process for Booking a Photography Session
Join me as I explain the step-by-step photography booking process and the collaborative experience that ensures every photo session is relaxed, creative, and true to you.
Initial Consultation
Every portrait session begins with a phone or email consultation, allowing us to get to know each other. I love learning about your family, your goals, and the vision for your photoshoot. This is also the time to talk about location ideas, wardrobe planning, and session themes.
Booking the Date
Once you’ve chosen the right photography package, we’ll set your date! To reserve your day, a signed contract and non-refundable session retainer are required. I’ll work with your schedule to find the perfect time for your family photo session or portrait session.
If you need to reschedule for reasons other than weather, please let me know as soon as possible. I understand that things can change, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
The Session Is Paid — Now What?
Once your payment is complete, your date is officially booked! You’ll receive a detailed email within 24–48 hours containing your session details, digital contract, and tips for preparing for your photo shoot.
Session Day
On your photo session day, we’ll meet at the agreed location and start capturing your moments. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes. It’s natural to need a few minutes to warm up in front of the camera, especially for children or those who are camera-shy.
To help them feel more at ease, I suggest bringing a favorite toy or item to make them comfortable. Additionally, playing their favorite tunes can also help lighten the mood and create a joyful atmosphere. I strive to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere throughout your portrait photography experience.
Wait for Teasers
Can’t wait to see your images? Me neither! Within about a week, I’ll share sneak peeks of your photo session (5–10 images) on Facebook, Instagram, Google, or Pinterest — unless you prefer privacy, of course!
Final Delivery
When your gallery is ready, you’ll receive an email with instructions to access your online gallery and download your high-resolution digital images.
The email will also include your print release, order form, and investment guide. The editing turnaround time for portrait and family sessions is approximately two weeks.
Order Selection
You’ll have 10 days to view your online gallery and choose your favorite images. Need more time? No problem — you can request an extension. A reactivation fee of $35 applies to extend your access for an additional time period.

Additional images can be purchased if desired, allowing you to further customize your collection. Each additional image is priced at $35, which provides your collection with flexibility while maintaining high professional standards. Each package comes with the same set of images for social sharing and a print release.

Ready to display your memories? Send me an email to place your print order. Payment is accepted via Venmo or PayPal. Each product is professionally printed to ensure the highest quality and color accuracy.
Once your order is placed, allow approximately 7-10 business days for delivery of your prints. This timeframe helps you plan for any gifts or special occasions.
